Chemo and radiation therapies work by killing cancer cells that grow uncontrollably. However, they also kill many normal healthy cells. As a result of this massive killing off of normal cells, many people undergoing Chemo and Radiation therapies may experience undesirable side effects such as vomiting, diarrhea, severe headaches, chronic abdominal and body cramps, constant numbness of the extremities, loss of taste, fatigue and burning and feverish sensation of the body. None of these are pleasant experiences.
More severe side effects unfortunately may include organ damage, heart attack, second cancer and / or even death.
In this seminar, you’ll learn that many common foods, herbs and most Chinese medicine do not conflict with chemo or radiation therapies. Scientific studies and clinical applications have identified that Chinese herbal medicine together with many common herbs and super foods can work synergistically with chemo drugs and radiation therapies during therapy to reduce the side effects of these treatments.
You will be empowered by finding out that there are steps you can take to reduce the side effects of chemo and radiation therapy by using these alternative remedies. Better yet, these common herbs, super foods and Chinese medicines are widely available locally in many of the health food stores in your neighbourhood.
Over the past few decades, many Chinese herbal medicines have been in used in China and in many hospitals across the world to assist in treatment of various types of cancer. These Chinese herbal medicine are either used alone or as part of adjunct cancer treatment. Other than aiming to reduce the undesirable side effects, they are also used to create synergistic effects on killing cancer or to assist in controlling the growth of cancer cells.
To find out what these foods, herbs are and how they work with the chemo drugs, please join me in my upcoming seminar on Feb 12, Sunday at 1:30pm at Goodness Me Health Food Market in Mississauga. To book your seat, please visit http://education.goodnessme.ca/event/2184
