Welcome to the Acupuncture Mississauga Clinic, located in the heart of Mississauga at Matheson and Mavis (near the Heartland Centre) within the Matheson Medical Centre .
Bernadette Hayhurst is an Ontario Registered Acupuncturist & Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner who has completed a rigorous 5 year hands-on advanced training program in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine and who has been in practice for a number of years. In addition to Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Bernadette is also a trained Biomeridian Technician and a Holistic Nutritionist. As well as working in her own practice, Bernadette teaches Chinese Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture to students at the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has also worked for a number of years as a volunteer providing pain alleviation in a palliative care hospice for cancer patients suffering severe pain.
Bernadette approaches each patient as an individual with specific concerns and needs, developing a treatment plan which is specific to each of her patients. She makes a practice of clearly explaining her treatment plans to her patients, explaining what she is doing, why and what the expected results are. She finds that explaining Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment protocols, and the reasoning behind them, in a way that her patients can understand and follow is of great value to patients, as Traditional Chinese Medicine is not as well understood as Western Medicine.
As an Ontario Registered Acupuncturist & Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Bernadette’s medical education includes extensive training in Chinese medical theory and diagnosis, acupuncture, herbal medicine, western medical theory and diagnosis, as well as tuina massage and qi gong. Bernadette is devoted to integrating the use of Chinese medicine with the more mainstream western care most people receive. She is proud to be a part of the established professional traditional Chinese medical community within Mississauga.
The Clinic within which Bernadette practices is conveniently located in Mississauga at Matheson Blvd West & Mavis (Bernadette’s office is located inside Unit 15, 801 Matheson Blvd West, Mississauga, Ontario L5V 2N6, within the Matheson Medical Centre).
